How does the Net Zero Start-up Hub work?

The Net Zero Startup Hub is the dedicated start-up track within the Net Zero Innovation Hub for Data Centers. We focus on technologies and business models that accelerate decarbonisation of digital infrastructure – from energy efficiency and flexibility to circularity, water use, and new grid-supporting services.

A Net-Zero Startup Hub operates under the Net Zero Innovation Hub brand with a local anchor and project manager. The first Net Zero Start-up Hub was launched in Fredericia in 2025, with the incubation period taking place from January-June 2026.

1. Startup Application

In collaboration with local partners, the Hub issues an RFI or open call for solutions.

2. Selection & Pitch

After the RFI deadline, selected companies will be invited to join a local pitch event or showcase with jury and awards.

This is the opportunity to pitch to join the incubation period and a chance to meet local partners in the industry.

3. Incubation Program

Selected start-ups are invited to join a 6-month dedicated incubation program.

The proram includes technical and business development by Hub partners and access to network of testing sites.

4. Advisory board & Mentorship

An integral part of the Incubation period is mentorship and appointment of a dedicated advisory board.

This advisory board supports the company for 6 months following the incubation period.
